05/13 

• Officers stood by for a disciplinary hearing at the School.  There were no issues.

• Officers handled a harassment complaint involving students at the School.  The subjects were talked to about their conduct and warned.

• Officers responded to an apartment complex for an illegal dumping complaint.  The complainant advised that a non-resident had just dumped 5 bags of trash in the complex dumpster.  The suspect was identified and a warrant request has been submitted to the City Attorney’s Office.

• Officers were called to a residence for a breaking and entering complaint at a vacant home.

• Officers checked the residence and located two individuals inside the residence. Numerous drugs were also located and seized. The subjects were arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail.

• Officers responded to a residence for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The complainant reported that someone had smashed out his rear window to his car the night before. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

• Officers were called to W Upton Ave for a property damage accident.  There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed.

• Officers responded to a residence for a juvenile runaway complaint.  Upon arrival the juvenile had returned home. The parties were provided with a course of action.

• Officers were called to the area of S Chestnut St. for a child screaming. Officers checked the area and found that it was a child that was upset about going to bed and throwing a fit. The matter was resolved.

05/15  

• Officers located a subject at the court house that needed to be served with a No Trespass Notice for an apartment complex in the city. The subject was served the notice without incident.

05/16

• Officers responded to a residence for an identity theft complaint. The complainant reported that someone had filed a tax return using her information.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

• Officers were called to a bank for a suspicious vehicle sitting in the parking lot for an extended period of time. Officers checked the subject who had pulled into the space to make a phone call.

• Officers handled a malicious destruction of property complaint.  The suspect had vandalized a sign. The matter is under investigation.

• Officers were called to a business on E. Church St. for a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot for an extended period of time. Officers checked the subject and determined he was a private investigator doing an investigation.

• Officers responded to a residence on W. Upton Ave. for a larceny complaint. The complainant reported that a TV and an XBOX were missing from her residence. Possible suspects have been identified and the matter is under investigation.

• Officers were called to a residence on E. Church St. for a report of a dog running at large chasing children. Officers arrived on scene and the dog was back at its residence. The dog owner was located and given a warning.

05/17

• Officers responded to a residence on S. Mill St for a 911 hang up call. It was determined that the call was accidentally placed.

• Officers were called to a vacant residence for an open door complaint. Upon arrival the residence was determined to be secure.

• Officers responded to the lobby of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department for a civil complaint. The complainant reported issues with his ex-wife over child custody. The complainant was advised that it was a civil matter and provided with a course of action.

• Officers were dispatched to a business for an alarm. Upon arrival the building was determined to be secure and the alarm was false. The property owner was notified.

• Officers were called to a residence for a noise complaint. The complainant reported that his neighbor was working in his residence making a lot of noise. The subject was located and given a warning.

• Officers responded to a business for a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot for an extended period of time. It was determined that the driver was having car troubles.

05/18 

• Officers were called to an apartment for a death investigation. The apartment manager reported finding one of her tenants dead in his apartment. An investigation was conducted with the medical examiner and it is believed the death occurred due to medical complications or a drug overdose. The matter is open, pending lab results.

• Officers were called to an apartment complex for a disturbance.  It was determined that the subject was suffering from mental health issues and was transported to Spectrum to be evaluated.

• Officers responded to a residence for an unwanted person refusing to leave the residence.  Officers arrived on scene and the subject left without further problems.

05/19

• Officers were called to a residence for a breaking and entering complaint. The complainant reported that someone had broken in during the winter and stole copper wiring and plumbing. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

• Officers served a trash abatement notice to a resident in the city. The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.

• Officers were called to a business for a subject loitering. Officers made contact with the subject who left the property without incident.

• Officers responded to a residence for a possible CO poisoning complaint. A Doctor had called and requested that officers check on one of her patients due to her test results coming back with a high CO level. Officers made contact with the subject at her residence who had working CO detectors. The Fire Department was called to the scene with a gas meter and no CO leak was found.

• An officer assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a traffic stop.

• An officer was dispatched to a location outside of the City to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a disorderly subject.

• An officer responded to the Evart Elementary School to assist school personnel with a disorderly juvenile.

• An officer responded to the Evart Skate Park for a complaint of a young child unattended.  The officer located the child, and turned the child over to the parents.

• An officer was dispatched to a residence in reference to a disorderly subject.  The officer made contact with the complainant and the suspect; the suspect was arrested for hindering and resisting a police officer and lodged at the Osceola County Jail.

05/17

• An officer responded to a City Park for a complaint of a vehicle parked on the lawn.  The officer was unable to locate the owner; the vehicle was towed and the owner was cited for the parking violation.

05/18

• An officer was dispatched to a residence to assist EMS with a medical call.  The officer remained at the residence until EMS cleared the scene.

05/19

• An officer assisted an individual with a civil complaint.

• An officer was dispatched to a residence regarding a complaint of a disorderly juvenile.  The officer made contact with the parents and the juvenile and remained on scene until the juvenile had calmed down.  The officer cleared the scene without further incident.

• An officer was dispatched to a residence for a complaint of a personal protection order violation.  The officer made contact with the complainant and the suspect.  The incident was turned over to Circuit Court for review.
