Reed City 5\/26 Officers were dispatched to inappropriate touching between two juveniles. The\u00a0matter is under investigation. Officers were dispatched to the Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital to regarding a two-vehicle property damage accident. There were no injuries reported. While on patrol, officers observed a violation of the city trash ordinance. The owner of\u00a0the residents was served the appropriate abatement paper work and a follow up inspection\u00a0will follow. Officers were called to residence regarding a fraudulently obtained prescription. The\u00a0matter was turned over to the Michigan State Police due to the actual incident occurring\u00a0outside of the county. 5\/27 Officers received an out-of-state call from a mother requesting they perform a\u00a0well being check involving her young child of whom is visiting his father. Officers\u00a0made contact with the father and child and requested they contact the mother. The matter\u00a0is closed. Officers responded to a call regarding a dog at large. The owner was issued a verbal\u00a0warning and advised that anytime her dogs are outside they are required to be on a leash.\u00a0The matter is closed. While on patrol, officers observed a driver known to be suspended. The 51-year-old male\u00a0was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. 5\/28 Officers were called to residents regarding a neighbor\u2019s loud vehicle. Upon\u00a0investigation the matter was determined to be an ongoing neighbor dispute. Officers were called to local apartment complex regarding suspicious activity involving\u00a0tenants\u2019 vehicles. Per managers request extra patrols will take place. Officers were requested to assist with a probation\/parole visit. Upon arrival it was\u00a0discovered the individual on parole was not at home. Officers were called regarding an intoxicated male walking down Chestnut Street\u00a0consuming alcohol in public. Officers found the 52-year-old male to be in violation of his\u00a0parole out of Newaygo County. The individual was placed under arrest and lodge at the\u00a0Osceola County Jail. While on patrol, officers came upon two residences that were in violation of the local\u00a0grass ordinance. A verbal warning was given to each. Officers found a suspicious situation involving an unsecured door. A building search was\u00a0conducted finding the building secure. The key holder was contacted to secure the door. Upon stopping a vehicle for an equipment violation, officers found the vehicle had no\u00a0valid insurance. An appearance citation was issued and the vehicle impounded. 5\/29 Officers responded to a local business regarding the activation of the alarm.\u00a0The owner informed officers he attempted to deactivate the alarm but was unsuccessful. Officers responded to a call regarding suspicious activity outside a residence window and\u00a0was believed to be from an ex-boyfriend. Upon inspection inside no entry appeared to\u00a0have been made. Officers patrolled the city and issued verbal warnings to those in violation of the city\u00a0ordinance code 674 regarding trees, weeds and tall grass. 5\/30 While conducting a traffic stop, an officer found both the driver and the passenger\u00a0to have suspended driver\u2019s licenses. The 24-year-old female driver was also found to be\u00a0operating a vehicle with no insurance. An arrest was made and she was lodged in the\u00a0Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers were called to a residence regarding a complaint of property damage to owner\u2019s\u00a0lawn. A report has made, and the matter is closed due to lack of evidence or witnesses. Officers were dispatched to perform a well-being check on a 54-year-old male who was\u00a0distraught over a family member\u2019s behavior. The individual was advised to call 911\u00a0should he need assistance again in the future. While on patrol, officers observed several residence in violation of the city ordinance\u00a0code 674 regarding trees, weeds and tall grass. Verbal warnings were issued and or\u00a0abatement paperwork served. Follow up inspections will be made. 5\/31 While conducting a traffic stop, officers were approached by an elderly\u00a0female who was walking down the street in distress and confused. Officers transported\u00a0the individual to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital, where they learned the 90-year-old\u00a0female suffered from dementia. Officers contacted her caregiver and she was released\u00a0into their custody. Officers were dispatched to a car\/deer accident. 6\/2 The school liaison officer responded to a call at the Old Rugged Cross to assist\u00a0with the transport of an unruly student who was there with his classmates. The student\u00a0was transported back to G. T. Norman Elementary without incident. While on patrol, officers observed a suspicious situation regarding the behavior of a male\u00a0juvenile. The male ran when approached by the officer. After a short foot-chase, the\u00a0juvenile was appended and found to be in possession of marijuana. The matter has been\u00a0turned over to the court. 6\/3 Officers were requested by the Michigan State Police to assist with an activated\u00a0alarm until they could respond themselves. The alarm was determined to be unfounded. While on patrol, officers observed brush that had been put out to the curb to be picked up\u00a0for removal. It was also observed that the brush had gone beyond the curb and into the\u00a0roadway. The owner of the residence was notified and the matter was taken care of. Officers responded to alarm activation at a local business. Upon their arrival, it was fond\u00a0to have been activated by the cleaning personnel. Officers were dispatched to a local business parking lot regarding damage to a vehicle.\u00a0An unknown individual had written in the dust on the vehicle causing damage to the\u00a0paint. The matter is under investigation. 6\/4 Officers were dispatched to the CET Pharmacy on Patterson where a vehicle\u00a0had struck the building. The 51-year-old male driver stated he was unable to stop due to\u00a0the debris that lodged up underneath his brake pedal. There were no injuries reported. Officers were dispatched to respond to burglar alarm activation. Officers\u2019 investigation\u00a0found all doors to be secure, making it a false alarm. 6\/5 A found wallet was turned into the Police Department. The owner was located\u00a0and the wallet returned. Officers responded to a call of a found bicycle. Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff's Department with a vehicle driving erratic\u00a0on the freeway. Officers responded to a residence regarding a stolen bicycle. The matter is under\u00a0investigation. While on patrol, officers observed a violation of the city tall grass ordinance No. 674.02.\u00a0The appropriate abatement paperwork was served to the resident and a follow up\u00a0inspection will take place. Officers were called to assist with a search for a missing special needs male. Officers\u00a0were able to locate him and advised him when to return home. Officers were dispatched to the emergency room of Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital\u00a0to take temporary possession of a hand gun for safe keeping. The handgun belonged to\u00a0the patient who was being transported to a Grand Rapids hospital. 6\/6 Officers were called to a local apartment complex to respond to a loud music\u00a0complaint. On their arrival, the music had stopped and officers were unable to locate the\u00a0source of the music. Officers were requested to assist the Osceola County Sheriff's Department with a\u00a0disorderly male on U.S. 131 near U.S. 10. 6\/7 Officers were called to respond to a complaint of larceny of a lawn ornament.\u00a0The matter is under investigation. While on patrol, officers observed brush that had been put out to the curb to be picked up\u00a0for removal, had gone beyond the curb and into the roadway. The owner of the residence\u00a0was notified and was having it removed. Officers were dispatched to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital to assist the security\u00a0guards in checking the grounds after a door was found open on a building. A check was\u00a0performed without incident. Officers were dispatched to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital to assist with a patient\u00a0with a disorderly patient. The officer was able to calm the patient down without further\u00a0incident. Officers were dispatched to the call of a deceased individual. The 85-year-old male was\u00a0found to have died of natural causes. The matter is closed. Evart 6\/1 An officer responded to an disorderly juvenile complaint. The juvenile was taken into protective custody and transported to the hospital for an evaluation. 6\/2 A subject was taken into custody and transported to the Osceola County Sherriff\u2019s Department for falsifying a police report. An officer assisted a business with a non-sufficient fund check complaint. 6\/5 An officer handled a harassment complaint. The case remains open at this time. An officer conducted a traffic stop and it was determined the driver was operating on a suspended license. The driver was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Sheriff\u2019s Department where they were lodged on charges. 6\/6 An officer handled a larceny from an automobile complaint.
