Notice to residents

Please be aware that the Reed City Police Department is now enforcing the placement of yard waste into the city streets and curb gutters. This is a violation of city ordinance that causes problems with the storm drains and will not be allowed. Please be advised enforcement action will be taken for non-compliance.

Additionally, all household trash, including that set out on large pick up day, must be in approved blue bags available at city hall or it will not be picked up. All trash and cans are required to be removed from curbside by 7 p.m. on Thursdays. The blue bags are a measure taken by the city to ensure it does not incur an unreasonably high cost for trash disposal caused by out-of-city residents bringing trash into the city on pick up days.
