Officers responded to a possible missing toolbox from a vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

Officers responded to a domestic violence call. Upon investigation, a 30-year-old male was lodged in the Osceola County Jail pending prosecutor action.

Officers responded to well-being check of an intoxicated male asking for help. The man stated he would be going home to lie down.

Officers later responded to a second call to assist EMS when the male called back requesting treatment.

Officers were advised, prior to the start of school. Three teenage males left the school grounds without permission. For their safety and well-being, the males were located and escorted back to school. The matter was turned over to the school.

Officers responded to a local residence on a truancy matter. The individual was located and transported to school.

Officers responded to a call of harassment. The male caller was intoxicated and upset about neighbors calling him names. The individual was advised as to the proper course of action.

Officers responded to a call of possible child abuse. Child Protective Services were called and the child was released to the custody of the grandparents pending further investigation.

Officers responded to an individual having mental difficulties. The individual was transported for treatment without incident.

Officers responded to a repetitive dog at large call. The dog’s owner was issued a citation.

Officers responded to the Middle School in reference to a disruptive student as a precaution. The matter was handled by school staff without any incident.

Officers received a call of a stolen bicycle; the caller later realized they had forgotten the bicycle was in their garage.

Officers responded to a civil dispute between neighbors. Both parties were advised of the proper course of action.

Officers were requested to assist the Evart Police Department in locating an individual with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, believed to be in Reed City. The individual was not located.

Officers responded to a complaint of a lawn care company blowing debris into the road way. Officers issued a verbal warning and advised that it must be kept out of the street to prevent to plugging of storm drains. The debris was then cleaned up without incident.

Officers were responded to a vehicle parked across the drive of an apartment complex. The vehicle moved and left the area just prior to officer’s arrival.

Officers responded to the attempted larceny from a coin operated machine. Two suspects have been identified and charges are expected to be sought in this matter.

Officers stopped a vehicle for an expired plate, and upon further investigation found the driver to be operating the vehicle without insurance. The 53-year-old male was issued an appearance citation and released. The vehicle was impounded.

While conducting an equipment violation stop, officers discovered female driver had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant with another jurisdiction. The driver was advised to take care of the warrant and released.

Officers were called to responded to a complaint of two dogs running at large in the neighborhood. A verbal warning was issued for the dogs running at large. Two citations were issued for unlicensed dogs.

Officers observed a residence to be in violation of a city ordinance for trash and an unregistered motor vehicle. Resident was advised of the violations with a verbal warning. Officers will perform a follow-up check to see that the items have been properly removed.

Officers responded to a call concerning an ongoing issue of trash not being taken care of by tenants. The property owner has been advised on several occasions of the rules and ordinances governing the handling of waste within the city in writing with limited response. The property owner was advised any further non compliance would result in a citation. The Reed City Police Department reminds residents that a copy of trash rules and city ordinances governing trash and refuse are available at city hall.

Officers observed an unattended vehicle with door open in the high school parking lot. The owner was located and said nothing was missing from the vehicle. The matter is closed.

Officers were requested to conduct a well-being check by a legal guardian from Genesee County. The adult individual was located and found to be in good condition.

Officers responded to a possible domestic assault not in progress. The matter is currently under investigation.

Officers responded to a call concerning a vehicle blocking a dumpster, preventing the waste removal company for accessing it for disposal. A citation was issued and the owner moved the vehicle.

Officers were called to a possible suicidal person. The matter was found to be a misunderstanding.

Officers were dispatched to a possible case of criminal sexual conduct. Upon speaking to the possible victim the matter was unfounded.

Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff's Department in locating a suspicious person. The matter was turned over to the Sheriff's Department.

While on a traffic stop, officers were approached by a 52-year-old intoxicated male. The male began yelling and cursing at officers and the vehicle they had stopped. The stopped vehicle was released and contact was made with the male. After further yelling and pounding his fist on the hood of the patrol car the man was taken into custody without incident. The man was lodged at the Osceola County Jail pending charges of Disorderly Conduct and Consuming Alcohol in Public.

Officers were called to assist the Osceola County Sheriff's Department with a domestic assault possibly involving knives. The male suspect fled on foot and was later located and placed in custody. The female was also lodged without incident.

Officers were called to assist with a search for a runaway from Eagle Village. After searching the parks and businesses in the area the officers were unable to locate the runaway.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Sylvan Township for a speeding infraction. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was operating sthe vehicle while intoxicated, while in possession of open intoxicants, and with their young grandchild in the vehicle. The operator was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Hersey Township for a speeding infraction. Through investigation it was discovered that a passenger within the vehicle had a valid Kent County warrant, which was issued for their arrest. The subject was then secured and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes which occurred within Sylvan and Osceola townships.

A deputy was dispatched to a middle Branch Township home on the report of a larceny complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and it was learned that someone had entered the victim’s home and took a pair of muck boots. Through investigation a suspect was identified, located and interviewed. The boots were eventually returned to the victim and a report has been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for charges.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes which occurred within Sylvan Township.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Orient Township for failing to dim their headlights. Through investigation it was discovered the operator and lone occupant was in possession of suspected marijuana. The suspected marijuana was seized and a report was submitted to the prosecutor’s office for charges.

A sergeant conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Evart Township for a speeding infraction. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was in possession of suspected marijuana. The operator was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

A deputy responded to the Grand Traverse County Jail and arrested a subject on the strength of a valid Osceola County warrant. The subject was secured and was transported back to the Osceola County jail without incident.

Deputies received credible information on the location of a subject, who had a valid Osceola County felony warrant issued for their arrest. The deputies then responded to the Hersey Township location, where they located, identified and arrested said subject. The subject was then transported to the Osceola County jail without incident.

Deputies investigated one vehicle crash with injuries which occurred within Burdell Township.

Deputies received credible information on the location of a subject who had a valid Osceola County warrant issued for their arrest. The deputies then responded to the Sylvan Township location, where they located, identified and arrested said subject. The subject was then transported to the Osceola County jail without incident.

A deputy was dispatched to Lincoln Township on the report of a larceny complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and through investigation it was discovered someone entered the victims garage and took a Troy Built rototiller and a DM trimmer. The deputy completed his investigation and cleared the scene once his assistance was no longer needed.

An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a report of prescription fraud. The case has been turned over to the prosecuting attorney for review of charges.

An officer was dispatched to a disorderly conduct complaint. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s department where they were lodged on charges.

An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a threats complaint. The officer made contact with the suspect and a no trespass order was issued.

A purse was found at a local business. The owner was contacted to retrieve their property.
