Osceola County Sheriff's Department 2-01 Deputies were dispatched to an Evart Township residence on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation, it was determined that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail. A sergeant came across a vehicle in a ditch within Sylvan Township. Through investigation it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen from an Evart City foster home, revealing the juvenile driver's identity and location. The sergeant completed his investigation, which included turning the juvenile back over to their foster parents, and sent this report to probate court for charges. 2-02 Deputies were dispatched to a residence within the City of Evart on the report of a possible attempted suicide complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that the subject in question was a danger to themselves and others. The subject was then taken into protective custody and was transported to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital for a mental evaluation. Deputies were dispatched to an Evart City home on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and through investigation the assault allegations were unsubstantiated; however further investigation revealed that several minors within the home were consuming alcohol. One subject was arrested and several others were issued misdemeanor citations for this offence. 2-03 A deputy was dispatched to the City of Evart in regards to snowmobiles driving recklessly. Upon arrival the deputy methodically patrolled the area, but did not observe any illegal operation. 2-04 Deputies were dispatched to a Marion Township home on the report of a domestic assault complaint, where the aggressor had fled the scene. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship. The area was patrolled for the suspect; however they were not located. This report was forwarded to the prosecutor\u2019s office for review and charges. A deputy was dispatched to an Osceola Township detention home on the report of an assault complaint. Through investigation it was discovered that two residents assaulted each other. The deputy completed his investigation and cleared the scene once his assistance was no longer needed. This report has been forwarded to probate court for review. 2-05 Deputies investigated tqo vehicle crashes which occurred within Rose Lake and Middle Branch townships. Deputies responded to a LeRoy Township business and arrested a subject who had their bond revoked. The subject was secured and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. 2-06 A deputy investigated a single vehicle crash which occurred within Richmond Township. 2-07 A deputy was dispatched to a Sylvan Township home on the report of a snowmobile destroying some of the complainant\u2019s trees. Upon arrival the deputy completed his investigation and the identity of the operator is still under investigation. A deputy assisted a worker with Adult Protective Services on an investigation at a Burdell Township home. Upon arrival the deputy provided scene security while the worker completed their investigation into specific allegations. The deputy cleared the scene once his assistance was no longer needed. Evart 2\/09 An officer assisted a parole agent at a residence. 2\/13 An officer handled a harassment complaint that had been reported and has been an ongoing issue. The report was turned over to the prosecuting attorney for review of charges. 2\/14 An officer assisted EMS on a medical call involving a minor who had taken an unknown prescription. The minor was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. An officer responded to an alarm at a business that was triggered by a power outage. Reed City 2\/3\/15 Officers responded to the 200 block of W Slosson in reference to door to door solicitation.\u00a0The males, soliciting for locking in gas rates, were found to be soliciting without a permit. A verbal\u00a0warning was issued and they were advised to obtain a permit before continuing. Officers were requested to check the well being of a female and two small children that had been\u00a0seen out walking in the cold weather for approximately an hour. Officers were unable to locate the\u00a0individuals. Officers were requested to respond to a local business for an unlocked door. Upon arrival all doors\u00a0were found locked. 2\/4\/15 Officers observed what appeared to be a disabled vehicle on the roadside. Contact was\u00a0made and the vehicle was found to be out of gas. Assistance was given. While patrolling, officers observed a male believed to have outstanding warrants. A check was\u00a0done and the 24-year-old man was arrested on three outstanding misdemeanor warrants from neighboring\u00a0jurisdictions. The man was turned over to the neighboring jurisdiction. 2\/5\/15 Officers responded to a local residence in reference to a domestic assault. The matter has\u00a0been turned over to the Prosecuting Attorney for review. Officers responded to a local residence in reference to an attempted break-in. Upon arrival the\u00a0complainant was found to be highly intoxicated and the complainant was unfounded. 2\/6\/ Officers were responded to a child custody dispute. Individuals were advised on the proper\u00a0course of action. Officers were advised to be on the look out for a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle was\u00a0located and the driver was found to not be intoxicated. Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle and upon further investigation the driver was found to be\u00a0operating without a driver's license in their possession. An appearance citation was issued. While on foot patrol in the business district, an officer located an unlocked door. The property owner\u00a0was advised and the building was secured. Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle and discovered the driver had lost his temporary paper\u00a0plate that was issued at the time of purchase. The driver attached a license plate to the vehicle that\u00a0was not registered to the vehicle. The driver was released with a verbal warning. 2\/7\/15 Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver was found to be operating a vehicle\u00a0without a driver's license in their possession. The driver was released with an appearance citation. 2\/8\/15 Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver was found to be operating without\u00a0a driver's license in her possession, did not have proof of valid insurance, and could not provide\u00a0a valid registration certificate for the vehicle. The driver was issued an appearance citation and\u00a0released. 2\/9\/15 Officers responded to a local residence in reference to a mentally disturbed person who\u00a0had barricaded themselves inside their residence. Officer spoke to the individual and they opened\u00a0the door for the officers. The individual was transported to the hospital for evaluation without\u00a0incident. Officers responded to a complaint of criminal sexual conduct at a local residence. The investigation\u00a0is ongoing. Officers were dispatched to a local residence in reference to a 911 hang up call. The call to 911 was\u00a0determined to be accidental. Officers handled a civil child custody matter in which one parent wished to take the children out\u00a0of the country. Assistance was given and all individuals were advised on the proper course of legal\u00a0actions to be taken. Officers responded to the high school in reference to possible vandalism to a door. It was\u00a0determined the door catch was faulty and the damage resulted in an attempt to get the door opened.\u00a0No criminal intent was behind the matter. 2\/10\/15 Officers received a complaint in reference to stalking. The individuals were found to now\u00a0live outside of this jurisdiction and the complaint will be forwarded to the appropriate jurisdiction. 2\/11\/15 Officers received a complaint of illegal dumping of trash in a local dumpster. The matter\u00a0is still under investigation. Officers were dispatched to a vehicle driving in an intoxicated manner. The vehicle was located\u00a0parked. Officers were unable to locate the driver of the vehicle. Officers responded to a local residence in reference to a truant student. The student was transported\u00a0to the school and arrangement were made with the family to ensure the student attends regularly. Officers responded to residence in reference to a truant student. The student was found to have\u00a0moved to another district. This is however an ongoing issue and it will be turned over the to police\u00a0having jurisdiction in the students new area of residence. Officers responded to the White Pine Trail in the area behind the 800 block of S. Mill St. for a\u00a0vehicle with an elderly driver stuck on the trail. Upon arrival it was evident the vehicle had\u00a0been stuck but the vehicle had left the area prior to officers arrival. It is believed the driver was\u00a0confused and believed the trail was a road. Officers responded to a local business for two individuals behaving in a loud boisterous manner and\u00a0causing a disturbance. The individuals were given a verbal warning and requested by the owner to\u00a0leave the business. One individual was found to have to misdemeanor warrants out of pickup range.\u00a0The individual was advised of the outstanding warrants. While on patrol officer located an open door on a business. The owner was advised and the door\u00a0was secured. 2\/13\/15 Officers stopped a vehicle for having an expired registration plate. Further investigation\u00a0revealed the driver was operating without insurance on the vehicle. The driver was issued an\u00a0appearance citation and the matter is pending in court. Officers were dispatched to conduct a well being check on a possible suicidal male. The male was\u00a0located and left in the care of family. Officers responded to a local residence in reference to a truant student. The student was found to\u00a0have over-slept and was transported to the school to finish out the day. Officers were dispatched to a local residence in reference to a possible domestic assault. Both\u00a0individuals were spoken to and it was determined it was a verbal disagreement only. Officers located a vehicle broken down in the middle of an intersection. Officers stood by with the\u00a0vehicle owner and assisted in getting a tow truck to remove the vehicle from the intersection. Officers made a stop on a vehicle. The resulting investigation led to the arrest of a 27-year-old male\u00a0for transporting an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana. Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle and the resulting investigation led to the driver being\u00a0issued a misdemeanor appearance citation for driving without a drivers license in his possession. 2\/14\/15 Officers received a tip that a registered sex offender had been staying at a friend's\u00a0residence within a school zones contrary to the sex offender laws. Upon completion of the\u00a0investigation an arrest warrant is being sought. 2\/15\/15 Officers were dispatched to a complaint of damage to a mailbox. The incident is still\u00a0under investigation. Officers received a tip of minors partying and in possession of alcohol at a local apartment complex.\u00a0The complex was checked and individuals were spoken to, but no party could be located by officers.
