● An officer was dispatched to a local business for a security alarm.  The property was found to be secure, and the officer cleared the scene without incident.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a civil dispute.  The officer stood by until the parties involved came to a mutual agreement.

● An officer was dispatched to a business reference a harassment complaint.  The officer made contact with the complainant and advised her how to best deal with the situation.

● An officer assisted a citizen with a concern about gun laws.

● An officer was forwarded a harassment complaint taken by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department.  The officer made contact with the suspect and advised her to avoid contact with the complainant. The case is closed.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a parking complaint.  When the officer arrived at the residence, the vehicle was no longer in the area.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a civil dispute, subsequently one of the parties involved was found to have a warrant out of Kent County.  The suspect was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department.

● An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a failure to return rental property complaint.  The case is still open pending contact with the suspect.

● An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a failure to return rental property complaint.  The officer made contact with the suspect and advised them to return the property to avoid further legal action.

● An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a complaint of retail fraud.  The officer made contact with the complainant who indicated the suspect had left the property.  The case is still open pending further investigation.

● Officers investigated a threats complaint at the school. The matter was investigated thoroughly and found to be unfounded.

● Officers responded to a residence for a larceny complaint. The victim reported that her prescription medications were stolen from her mailbox. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers were called to a business parking lot for a two vehicle traffic crash. Upon arrival no damage was observed and no report was completed.

● Officers on patrol located a subject with an outstanding warrant for assault. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers were called to the school to talk to a student regarding a criminal sexual conduct complaint. A report has been initiated and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers responded to a residence for a larceny complaint. The complainant reported that money was missing from his wallet. The suspect was identified and the complainant did not wish to pursue charges. The matter is now closed.

● Officers were dispatched to a car/deer traffic crash on Durham St near Ann St. There were no injuries to the occupants and only minor damage to the vehicle.

● Officers attempted to locate a subject with an outstanding felony warrant out of the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office at a residence in Reed City. The subject had moved and no contact was made.

● Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office by handling a single car traffic crash on Northland Drive near 2 Mile Road. There were no injuries and moderate damage was reported.

● Officers observed a suspicious subject trying to gain entry to a vehicle. The subject was stopped and identified. It was determined that the vehicles locks were frozen and that he was the owner of the vehicle.

● Officers did a warrant attempt at a residence in the city for a subject with an outstanding warrant for another jurisdiction. It was determined that the subject no longer lived at the residence.

● Officers located a suspicious person slouched over in a vehicle behind a business in the city. Contact was made with the occupant who was intoxicated and was sleeping in the vehicle until he sobered up.

● Officers were called to backup the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department at a business outside the city limits for a disorderly subject. Officers were disregarded prior to arrival.

● Officers assisted a stranded motorist on S Chestnut St that ran out of gas.

● Officers handled a walk in domestic assault complaint. The complainant reported that he was assaulted by his grandfather and was struck in the head with an air soft gun. A report was completed and the report has been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office seeking an arrest warrant on the suspect.

● Officers were called to a business parking lot for an intoxicated individual singing loudly, creating a disturbance.  The subject was gone upon arrival of officers.

● Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was driving on an improper license plate.  The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene and released.

● Officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.  Initially the vehicle would not stop, but eventually did.  It was discovered that the driver was highly intoxicated and also operating on a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers investigated a possible liquor license establishment violation.  The matter was turned over to the business owners and a warning was issued.

● Officers were called to assist the Michigan State Police at a business outside the city where in intoxicated customer was throwing food around and being disorderly.  The subject was arrested by the State Police and lodged at the Osceola County Jail.

● Officers assisted EMS on a medical call at a residence where the subject was complaining of low blood sugar.

● Officers were called to an apartment for a larceny complaint.  The victim reported that her necklace was stolen from her apartment.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers assisted EMS on a medical call at a residence where the subject was choking.

● Officers did a peace officer stand by so the complainant could retrieve his personal belongings from his former residence.  There were no problems.

●  Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license and also had an outstanding warrant for child support out of Clinton County.  The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers responded to an apartment complex for an unwanted person call.  Upon arrival the suspect had left on his own.

● Officers did a warrant attempt at a residence in the city.  The subject was located and turned over to Mecosta County Deputies on their outstanding warrant.

● Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers responded to a suspicious situation call.  The caller reported seeing lights on inside the Middle School.  Officers checked the school and found it to be the cleaning staff.

● Officers were called to the area of Maplewood Dr for a report of a subject walking a dog with open alcohol.  Officers checked the area and were not able to locate the subject.

● Officers assisted the Michigan State Police with a warrant attempt at a residence in the city.  The subject was not located.

● Officers were called to a dog at large complaint.  The complainant stated he was walking home and was chased by a dog.  The owner of the dog was located and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers issued a vehicle abatement for being parked and unregistered.  The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation before further enforcement action will be taken.
