An officer was dispatched to a Malicious Destruction of Property complaint. The damage to the property occurred during the evening. The complaint is still under investigation.

An officer responded to a suspicious situation that was not in progress. After speaking with the complainant it was determined the situation occurred outside of the city. The information was turned over to the Michigan State Police for further investigation.

An officer was dispatch to a larceny complaint. The officer took a statement from the complainant. The complaint is still under investigation.

While on patrol, an officer located a damaged picnic table at a local park. The complaint is still under investigation.

An officer responded to a residence after an anonymous tip indicated that an individual had multiple unlicensed dogs. The owner was given a municipal citation for the offense, and advised to get the pets licensed to avoid further enforcement action.

While conducting a traffic stop, the officer determined the operator of the vehicle had an expired license. The driver was given an appearance citation, and the vehicle was released to a friend who had a valid license.

An officer was dispatched to a malicious destruction of property complaint. The compliant occurred at Riverside Park East. The pumpkins used for the Haunted Trail were smashed. Officers assisted at the School with a disorderly student.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on West Lincoln Avenue. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle on a suspended license and did not have insurance on the vehicle. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers on patrol discovered a vehicle alarm going off in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Officers checked the vehicle and located the owner who had accidentally pressed the panic alarm.

Officers on patrol located two students leaving the school grounds while school was in session. Officers made contact with the two students who were both in possession of tobacco products. Both students were cited in probate court and their parents were notified of the incident.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on South Higbee Street. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle on a suspended license and did not have insurance on the vehicle. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers issued a property owner an abatement notice for having inoperable vehicles on her property. The property owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that occupants of the vehicle were in possession of marijuana and had a concealed weapon (knife). One occupant was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers responded to an apartment complex for a noise complaint. Upon arrival loud music was heard in the apartment. Initially the tenant refused to open the door. Contact was made with the tenant who was given an appearance citation and released.

Officers were called to a residence for a larceny of mail complaint. The complainant reported putting outgoing mail in her mail box and it was stolen. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

Officers received a report of an intoxicated driver. The vehicle was located and stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was not intoxicated.

Officers assisted Deputies from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department that were doing an investigation and interviewing a suspect at an apartment complex in Reed City.

Officers responded to an apartment complex for a suspicious bottle with an unknown residue inside the bottle. The matter was investigated and the bottle was disposed of.

Officers responded to a missing property complaint.

Officers were called to a residence for a domestic disturbance. The complainant stated she was assaulted by her son who had fled the scene. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

Officers responded to the motel for a disorderly person complaint. It was determined that both the complainant and suspect were intoxicated and on parole and probation. Both subjects were arrested for violations of their conditions and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was intoxicated and was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail for impaired driving without incident.

Officers responded to a business for a report of minors attempting to buy tobacco products. The suspects, who fled the scene, have been identified and the matter is under investigation.

Officers were called to U.S. 10 for a car/deer traffic crash. There were no injuries to the occupants and only minor damage to the vehicle. A report was completed.
