An officer was dispatched to a check well-being complaint. The officer made contact with the subject who was in need of medical attention. The officer requested an ambulance respond to the residence, and the subject was transported to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital for treatment.

An officer was dispatched to a warrant attempt. The officer made contact with the wanted subject. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department where they were lodged on charges.

An officer was dispatched to a car-deer property damage accident.

An officer was dispatched to a residence for a disorderly complaint. The officer made contact with the subjects. Two of the three subjects were moving out of the residence. The officer stood by until their property was removed.

An officer was dispatched to a civil complaint. The officer made contact with both parties and advised them how to best handle the situation. One of the subjects had a warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call at a residence. It was determined that there was a fire and officers assisted the Fire Department.

Officers responded to a suspicious situation call on East Church St. A student walking home was approached by two male subjects who started to ask her questions. The student ran and was assisted by a motorist who reported the incident as an attempted abduction. Officers interviewed the student and learned that it was not an attempted abduction. The matter was unfounded.

Officers handled a walk-in complaint at the department. The complaint was determined to be a civil matter and the complainant was provided with a course of action.

Officers were called to the elementary school for a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot. Upon arrival no damage was noted and the matter was closed.

Officers responded to a residence for a missing child complaint. It was determined that the child was with their uncle. The matter was unfounded.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without a license. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers responded to a residence for an illegal burning complaint. Officers made contact with the subject who was given a warning.

Officers were requested to assist the Michigan State Police with a panic alarm at a business on U.S. 10. Upon arrival everything was secure and the alarm was determined to be false.

Officers transported a subject to a mental hospital on a court order. There were no incidents during the transport.

Officers were called to the school to assist with a disorderly student. Officers arrived on scene and were able to calm the student down. The matter is being handled by school officials.

Officers responded to the 100 block of East Slosson Ave for a report of a suspicious male loitering around the area. Officers arrived on scene and located the subject who was identified.

Officers were called to assist school officials with a smell of marijuana coming from a locker. The contents were checked and did smell of marijuana. Follow up investigation is being completed.

Officers responded to the school for a sexual harassment complaint involving three students. The matter is under investigation.

Officers were called to a residence for a larceny from a garage complaint. The complainant reported that his bow and other items were stolen. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

Officers responded to the hospital for a disorderly patient. Officers arrived on scene and were able to calm the subject down and no further action was needed.

Officers were called to an apartment complex for a report of children playing in the roadway creating a traffic hazard. Officers checked the area and the children had already departed.

Officers responded to a residence for a possible breaking and entering complaint in progress at a vacant foreclosed home. The complainant reported seeing someone walking around inside the residence with a flashlight. Officers checked the home and did not find anyone inside. Officers did find an open window and an unlocked door. Contact was made with the reality company that has care of the residence.

Officers were requested to assist Child Protective Services on a home inspection. The children were removed from the home by Child Protective Services without incident.

Officers assisted the Michigan State Police Hart Post in attempting to locate a subject that was reported to have traveled to Reed City from Lake County that has Alzheimer’s disease and was missing. The subject was later found at his residence in Lake County.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle on an expired license. The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene and released.

Officers responded to a residence for a harassment complaint. The complainant was receiving harassing text messages from a subject. The subject was contacted and advised of the complaint and was told to have no further contact with the complainant or further action would be taken.

Officers were called to a business for an assault complaint that had occurred at a nearby residence. The complaint reported that he was punched in the mouth twice by the suspect while at his uncle’s residence. Officers talked to the suspect who also claimed to have been assaulted by the complainant. Neither party wish to press charges and the matter was closed.

Officers on patrol located four juveniles on a business property that was closed. The subjects were identified and were advised to leave the property.

Officers responded to a residence for a threats complaint. The complainant reported that she was getting a divorce from her abusive husband and that he had sent her messages and was seen parked outside the home. Officers checked the area however the subject had left prior to arrival. A report was completed and the complainant was told how to obtain a personal protection order.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating on an expired license. The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene and released.

Officers were requested to assist the Michigan State Police with a domestic disturbance call at a residence outside of the city. Once the scene was secure the officers resumed normal patrol duties within the city.

Officers were called to a residence for a barking dog complaint. The dog owner was located and given a warning.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that both occupants of the vehicle were under the age of 21 and alcohol was visible inside the vehicle. One of the occupants was given an appearance citation for minor in possession of alcohol and was released.

Officers were called to a residence for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that the female suspect had assaulted her female roommate. The suspect was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail. Upon arrival at the jail, the suspect became combative and physical force was needed to control the subject.

Officers responded to a residence for a suspicious situation call. The caller reported that he heard someone trying to get into his garage. Officers arrived on scene and no one was found. The complaint was unfounded.

Officers observed that lights had been left on at the Rocket Football field. Upon checking the property the concession stand was found to be unlocked. The property manager was contacted and secured the property.

Officers were requested by the Michigan State Police to assist with a two-vehicle traffic crash on U.S. 10 near 220th Avenue.

Officers on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.
