Officers were requested to do a well being check on a student that was not in school. Officers arrived at the residence and found that everything was OK.

Officers were called to the parking lot of an apartment complex for a report of a two-vehicle private property damage accident. Upon arrival there were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed.

Officers responded to the hospital for a disorderly suicidal patient. Officers arrived on scene and were able to calm the subject down and no further action was needed.

Officers were called to a residence for a harassment complaint. The complainant reported that their children are being harassed by other children while walking home from school. Both parties were talked to and the matter has been turned over to the School Liaison Officer for follow up.

Officers responded to a residence for a threats complaint. Officers talked to both parties involved and issued warnings.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers responded to the area of West Lincoln Ave. and South Sears St. for a hit and run traffic accident. Officers located the suspect vehicle and driver who was cited for leaving the scene of an accident. There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed.

Officers were called to the hospital for a disorderly patient. Upon arrival officers talked with the subject and were able to get him calmed down and no further action was needed.

Officers responded to a residence for a larceny complaint. The complainant reported that her son’s bicycle was stolen from the yard. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

Officers responded to a residence on the east side of Reed City. The caller stated a friend was being held at gun point and she is not responded to her phone calls. Officers went to the residence and were unsuccessful in making contact with the victim and her children. After many attempt,s the Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Special Response Team was called to make entry into the residence. The 40-year-old suspect was arrested without injury for aggravated/felonious domestic assault. Shortly after his arrest the victim and children were found safe inside the home. Additional charges are pending on the suspect who was lodged in the Osceola County Jail. Officers were assisted at the scene by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers were called to a residence for a possible domestic in progress. The complainant reported hearing someone from the residence yell, “I’ve been stabbed." Officers arrived to the residence and found that the male suspect had assaulted his girlfriend. The male suspect, who was highly intoxicated, was arrested on felony domestic violence third offense and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers responded to South Roth St. for an injured deer in the roadway that was hit by a vehicle. Officers dispatched the deer and issued a kill permit to a nearby resident for the deer.

Officers were called to the depot for a report of an assault in progress. Officers arrived on scene and found a 16-year-old male suspect assaulting his 17-year-old girlfriend. The suspect attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by officers. The juvenile suspect, who was listed as a runaway, was taken into custody for domestic violence and was lodged in the Muskegon River Youth Home without further incident.

Officers responded to a residence for a larceny of mail complaint. A report was completed.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating without insurance. The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene and released.

Officers responded to the motel for a well being check on a renter. Upon arrival everything was determined to be fine.

Officers were called to a residence for a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that a young child had injured himself inside the home and that was what was causing the commotion. Officers checked the residence and children and no further action was needed.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the 17-year-old driver was operating without a license in his possession. A family member brought his graduated driver’s license to the scene. The driver was cited for being in violation of his license restrictions and released with an appearance citation.

Officers responded to the motel for a landlord/tenant dispute. Officers provided the subjects with a course of action and the matter was closed as it was a civil matter.

Officers on patrol doing a tavern inspection located two individuals that were drinking in a bar and were in violation of their bond conditional release orders. One of the subjects was arrested at the scene and lodged in the Osceola County Jail for drinking while on bond. A report has been submitted to district court in regards to the second subject that was in violation of her bond conditions.

Officers located a subject that had a personal protection order issued against him that was not served. Officers verbally served the notice to the subject.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Once the suspect was taken into custody, the vehicle was searched and suspected marijuana was located. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and possession of marijuana and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers were called to a residence for a larceny from motor vehicle complaint. The complainant reported that her wallet containing cash, a debit card and her license was stolen from the vehicle. A possible suspect has been identified and the matter is under investigation.

Officers responded to a residence for a home inspection with child protective services. It was determined that a sex offender was residing in the home and was in violation of the 1,000 foot school safety zone law for residing within 1,000 feet of a school. A report was submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office seeking an arrest warrant.

Officers were requested to check a residence for a report of tattoos being given without the proper licensing. Officers checked the residence and found that it was friends tattooing friends and that no business was involved. The complaint was unfounded.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Once the suspect was taken into custody, the vehicle was searched and suspected marijuana was located. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and possession of marijuana and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a traffic stop on South Chestnut St. at 3 Mile Road.

Officers were called to check a vacant home where the lights were on. Officers checked the residence and everything was OK.

Officers were requested to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a call on 11 Mile Road where it was reported that five to seven individuals were outside the residence with baseball bats yelling they were going to kill the occupants of the home. Upon arrival the suspects had fled. The matter was investigated by the Sheriff’s Department and the officer resumed normal patrol duties within the city.

Officers were called to a residence to assist a disabled resident that was stuck in his home and could not get the door open. Officers arrived on scene and found that the door was jammed. The landlord was called to the scene and was able to free the door.

An officer was dispatched to a suicidal person complaint. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital for an evaluation.

An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff Department to locate and apprehend a subject wanted for domestic violence. The subject was not at the residence.

An officer was dispatched to a civil complaint. The officer made contact with both parties involved and assisted them in resolving the issue.

An officer was dispatched to a welfare check complaint. The officer made contact with the subject and made sure the subject was alright.

While conducting a traffic stop, an officer determined the operator of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and driving while license suspended.
