Osceola County’s 49th Circuit Court

REED CITY — The following case was heard this week in Osceola County’s 49th Circuit Court. 

● Michael Alan Kups, 29, of Evart, pleaded guilty to malicious destruction of fire/police property. He will be sentenced at 9:15 a.m. on Jan. 18.

Osceola County’s 77th District Court

REED CITY — The following cases were heard this week in Osceola County’s 77th District Court. Not all cases are reported.

● Lynn Marie Champagne, 28, of Evart, pleaded guilty to larceny less than $200. She was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day served. She also was ordered to complete 32 hours of community service, and will be on probation for 12 months.

● Christopher Frank Roberts, 45, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was sentenced to five days in jail, with one day served. He will be on probation for six months.

● James Henry-William Truman, 18, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. He was sentenced to 13 days in jail, with 13 days credit. He will be on probation for 12 months.

● James Richard Blake, 22, of Evart, pleaded guilty to obstruction/resisting arrest. He was sentenced to 36 days in jail, with 36 days served.

● Sandra Paulette Cheney, 30, of LeRoy, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license. She was ordered to pay court costs and fines totaling $345.

● Elizabeth Joy Dufresne, 28, of Big Rapids, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license. She was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day served.

● Sarah Lynn Haslam, 33, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license. She was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day served.

● Joel Ernest Hurley, 26, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated and attempting to flee police. He was sentenced to 60 days on a tether and must complete an Impact weekend. He also will be on probation for 24 months.

● Charles Edward Grames, 30, of Evart, pleaded guilty to assault and battery. He was sentenced to three days in jail, with three days served.

● Andrew James Staats, 35, of Evart, pleaded guilty to trespassing. He was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day served. He also must complete a mental health program and will be on probation for six months.

● Matthew Edward Ernest, 26, of Luther, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was sentenced to five days in jail, with one day served. He is required to attend five AA meetings and will be on probation for 12 months.

● Matthew Joseph Breitner, 30, of Milan, pleaded guilty to operating a snowmobile while under the influence of liquor. He was sentenced to five days in jail, with one day served. He also will be on probation for 12 months.

● Thomas Jacob Swor, 28, of Carleton, pleaded guilty to operating a snowmobile while under the influence of liquor. He was sentenced to five days in jail, with one day served. He also was ordered to complete an alcohol education class and will be on probation for 12 months.

● Michael Dee Cummings, 60, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to assault and battery. He was sentenced to three days in jail, with three days served. He will be on probation for six months.

● Samantha Kimberly Marchese, 27, of Evart, pleaded guilty to larceny greater than $200, but less than $1,000. She was sentenced to 15 days in jail, with two days served. Upon release, she will be required to complete an economic crime program and will be on probation for 12 months.

● Jason Anthony Garcia, 32, of Saginaw, pleaded guilty to assault and battery. He was sentenced to 34 days in jail, with 34 days served.

● Joshua Michael Hoffman, 25, of Marion, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while visibly impaired. He was sentenced to three days in jail, with three days served.

● Pamela Jean McMann, 55, of Flint, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while visibly impaired. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 30 days served. She will on probation for 24 months.

● Gregory Steven St. Onge, 47, of Owosso, pleaded guilty to assault and battery. He was sentenced to three days in jail, with three days served. He also will be required to complete anger management and substance abuse programs. He will be on probation for 12 months.

● Scott Allen Lovchuk, 34, of Clarkston, pleaded guilty to assault and battery. He was sentenced to 27 days in jail, with 27 days credit. He also is required to complete an anger management program and will be on probation for 12 months.
