REED CITY — The following cases were heard this week in Osceola County’s 49th Circuit Court. Not all cases are reported.
- Dustin Lee VanAssche, 29, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to a third offense of drunken driving, which was a violation of his probation. VanAssche had other drunken driving offenses in 2005 and 2009. He was sentenced to seven months in jail with 45 days credit. His probation will continue following his release.
- Bobby Joe Vanas, 21, of LeRoy, pleaded no contest to breaking and entering with intent to commit felonious assault, which was a violation of his probation. He was sentenced to four months on tether.
- Ronald Raymond Garrison, 33, of Lake, pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing or assaulting a police office and one count of malicious destruction of property valued at less than $200, which in this case was wiring for an automatic door inside the Osceola County Jail. He was sentenced to time served, but will be on probation for 18 months. He also must complete 240 community service hours.
- Timothy Dale Kleeves, 20, of Evart, pleaded guilty to third-degree fleeing and eluding a police officer, which was a violation of his probation. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 27 days credit; however, the court stipulated that Kleeves could be released into an in-patient rehabilitation program and receive day-to-day credit toward his sentence.
