Here are the 5 richest people in Michigan
On Forbes' annual list of billionaires in 2021, membership rose to 2,755 people, 660 more than a year ago. Together, that group of people from across the globe has collected $13.1 trillion, up from $8 trillion in 2020. Here are the five wealthiest people in Michigan, all members of that 2,755-person billionaire list.
These five Michigan billionaires also made Forbes list of the 400 wealthiest Americans for 2021, according to the recently released ranking.

Mat Ishbia, president and CEO of Michigan-based mortgage lender United Wholesale Mortgage--now UWM Holdings, is worth an estimated $8.3 billion. Ishbia was ranked 234 on Forbes' list of 2021 billionaries. He owns a 69% stake in the company, which went public through a merger with a blank check company in January 2021, according to Forbes.

Marian Ilitch and her husband, Mike, who died in 2017, cofounded Little Caesars Pizza in 1959. Ilitch is worth an estimated $4.4 billion and was ranked 253 on Forbes' list of the richest Americans in 2021. Mrs. I, as she's known, now owns the pizza chain.
She also owns the Detroit Red Wings and MotorCity Casino Hotel.
