GRAND BLANC\u00a0\u2014\u00a0Ronald L. Leinweber, 28, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Royal Oak, died on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at The Oaks at Woodfield. A funeral service was held at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.\u00a0Burial was in Pinora Cemetery in Pinora Township. Ronald was born in Reed City on June 29, 1932, the son of Leslie and Ada (Schawe) Leinweber.\u00a0He served in the U.S. Army.\u00a0He enjoyed weaving, book clubs and taught classes in meditation.\u00a0Ronald was a teacher at Andover in Bloomfield Hills for many years. He then completed an additional degree in theology at William Tyndale College and served on the faculty, teaching British literature. He graduated from Central Michigan University with degrees in German and English literature, then went on to complete a master's degree in British literature at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Surviving are his daughter, Clara Rose, of Fenton;\u00a0son, David, and wife, Mary Leinweber, of Oxford, Ga.;\u00a0grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel Leinweber, Peter, Olivia and John Chippetta;\u00a0sister, Louise, and her husband, Ronald Davis, of Oakley;\u00a0brother, Larry, and wife, Claudia Leinweber, of Bloomfield Hills;\u00a0many nieces and nephews; and\u00a0long-time friend, Mel Batch.
