REED CITY\u00a0\u2014\u00a0Richard Dale Bennett, 85, of Reed City, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Dale was born on April 23, 1929, in Hartwick Township, to Leo and Gladys (VanScoyoc) Bennett. He married Gloria Faith Miller on\u00a0Feb. 10, 2005, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Dale worked for ANR Storage for 22\u00a0years, retiring in 1991. He was a Reed City resident since 1991, but was an\u00a0Osceola County resident his entire life. Dale enjoyed fishing and cigars. Dale is survived by his wife, Gloria Faith Bennett, of Reed City; two daughters, Judy\u00a0(Berwayne) Greenhoe, of Avon Park, Fla. and Janet (Tom) Dague, of Hersey;\u00a0two sons, Richard (Dianna) Bennett, of Mecosta and Casey Bennett, of Reed City; two step-sons,\u00a0Frank (Shawna) Miller, of Mecosta and Roger (Deana) Miller, of Cadillac; 10 grandchildren;\u00a0eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Allan, of Evart. He was preceded in death by his\u00a0parents; wife, Ruth Marie (Mateman) Bennett; and a brother, Bruce Bennett. A gathering to celebrate the life of Richard Dale Bennett will be held from 11 a.m.\u00a0until 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart.
