REED CITY\u00a0\u2014\u00a0Maryann Hayden, 74, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital. She was born on Feb. 21, 1941, in Durand, to James St. John and Ina (Thompson) Blaine.\u00a0She grew up in Durand, but was a graduate of Pine River High school in LeRoy, where she went back to earn her diploma in 1982.\u00a0She worked for a time at Evart Products on an assembly line and prior to this she worked for Burns\u00a0Security as a guard.\u00a0She enjoyed reading science fiction, watching movies and in her spare time liked making slippers\u00a0for everyone that she met. She was always helping those in need and made friends everywhere she went. Maryann is survived by her three sons, Keith (Barb) St. John, of Kentwood, Scott Hayden, of Evart, and\u00a0Randy Hayden, of Kent City; and later welcoming James Loomis, of Kent City, as her son.\u00a0She also had three grandchildren, Joshua (Rob) St. John, Kim (Harry) Lowden, and Shawna Reese; and one great-grandchild,\u00a0Emma Lowden. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ina; her brother, Glenn St. John; and her son, Robert G. Reese,\u00a0of Cadillac. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
