REED CITY \u2014 Lynn Benjamin Mohr, 70, of Reed City, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at his residence. He was born on July 10, 1943, in Reed City, to Gilbert Mohr and Jeraleen Buerge, was raised in Reed City by his aunt, Doris Buerge, and was a 1961 graduate of Reed City High School. Lynn attended Ferris State College and Michigan State University and graduated in 1967 from MSU with a bachelor\u2019s of science degree in forestry. On Oct. 16, 1970, he was married in Reed City by his cousin, pastor Forrest Mohr, to Jacalyn Rohen, who survives. He was employed with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources for more than 30 years as a forester and served the entire northern lower peninsula during his working life. Active in his community, Lynn served as a member in a variety of positions including the Osceola County Planning Commission, Osceola County Fair Board, Osceola County 4-H Club and Society of American Foresters. He enjoyed working with animals and had a passion for artistic expression including, but not limited to, leatherworking, blacksmithing, drawing, painting, woodworking and sculpture. He is survived by his wife, Jacalyn Mohr, of Reed City; sons, Matt (Judy) Mohr, of Evart, Mike (Christa) Mohr, of White Cloud and Ryan (Jayla) Mohr, of Wisconsin; daughters, Susan (Brandon) Brown, of Paris, and Maggie Mohr, of Lansing; grandchildren, Stacy, Alan, Garrett, Luke, Anna, Behr, Ruby and Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Gabe, Sam, Joey and Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Jeraleen Mohr; aunt, Doris Buerge; granddaughters, Grace and Natalie Mohr; and son-in-law, Jacob Gingrich. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Reed City with Brent Michell officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in Reed City. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City.
