REED CITY \u2014 Keith L. Van Sickle, 84, of Reed City, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, June 18, 2017, due to complications from a brain tumor. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Astrevia \u201cJulie\u201d Van Sickle, in 2012. Keith was born on a farm on Deer Lake Road in Pinora Township in 1933 to Leo Fralick and Anna Mae (Lind) Fralick, and was raised there by his maternal grandparents, Mathilda Johnson Noreen and Oscar Noreen. In 1951, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Albrook Air Force Base in the Canal Zone in Panama from 1951 to 1954. He served in the Air Force for a total of 20 years in various additional locations in the U.S., Europe and Asia, and retired to his hometown of Reed City in 1971. He is survived by four children, Carlos (Sunny) Van Sickle, of Washington state, Dennise Carignan, of California, Linda Van Sickle-Kolodsick and Richard Kolodsick, of Arizona, and Curtis (Nancy) Van Sickle, of Florida. He also is survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home of Reed City arranged for a private, family burial service at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, with full military honors.
