EVART\u00a0\u2014\u00a0JoAnn K. Davis, 76, of Evart, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25,\u00a02016, at Cadillac Munson Hospital. JoAnn\u00a0was born on April 27, 1939, in Cadillac, to Russell E.\u00a0and Geneva Mildred (Alden) Whitney. She graduated from\u00a0Cadillac High School in 1957. JoAnn married William E. Davis on May 7, 1960,\u00a0in\u00a0Cadillac. Bill and JoAnn moved from Marion to\u00a0the Evart area in 1963. JoAnn attended the Calvary Baptist\u00a0Church in Evart. She enjoyed the outdoors, working in her\u00a0flower beds, camping, boating, motorcycling and horseback\u00a0riding. JoAnn is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Davis, of\u00a0Evart; two daughters, Cindy Jo (Donald) Marsh, of Tennessee, and Lori Ann\u00a0(Richard Jr.) Stafford, of Evart; a step-daughter, Christine\u00a0(Christian) Davis-Smoley, of Lady Lake, Fla.; two step-sons,\u00a0Richard Davis, of Lady Lake, Fla., and Thomas (Linda) Davis, of Tennessee; 10\u00a0grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert\u00a0Whitney, of Cadillac. She was preceded in death by her parents;\u00a0her son, Timothy E. Davis; a granddaughter, Kayla Davis; twin\u00a0sisters, Marilyn and Carolyn; and two brothers, Jerry and\u00a0Richard. Funeral services for JoAnn were at 1 p.m. on\u00a0Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with\u00a0Pastor Scott Farrell officiating. JoAnn will be interred in Maple\u00a0Valley Cemetery in Hartwick Township.
