EVART - Huson D. Gray, 90, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Huson honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from General Motors where he worked for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Olleen Gray; his two sons, Perry Gray and Freddie Gray; his granddaughter, Jessica Gray; his parents, Milford and Edith Gray; his four brothers, Leonard (Estelle) Gray, Marshall Gray, Milford Gray Jr. and Vail Gray; his five sisters, Dorothy (Forrest) Eggert, Marvella (Ed) Cope, Mary Alice Gray, Linda Lintemuth and Joy Ann (Jack) Samburson. He is survived by his three grandchildren, Jason (Rebecca) Gray, Aaron (Deana) Gray and Morgan Gray; seven-great grandchildren, Will, Adi, Kaci, Jakeb, Connor, Riley and Gracie; two great-great-grandchildren, Liam and Carter; his brother, Vurl and Linda Gray; his sister, Victoria Post; his sisters-in-law, Evlyn Gray, Daisy Gray and Donna Gray; many nieces, nephews and friends. A service to celebrate Huson\u2019s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 1833 Plainfield Street NE in Grand Rapids. Relatives and friends may meet his family at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday until the service begins at 1 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Free Methodist Church of your choice or to the Hospice of Michigan.
