SEARS \u2014 Evelyn M. Antrup, 85, of Big Lake near Sears, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital. Mrs. Antrup was born on Jan. 5, 1931, on the family farm in Evart Township. She was a 1950 graduate of Evart High School. Evelyn married Jack Antrup on Feb. 10, 1951, in Evart and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2010. She worked for AC Spark Plug in Flint, retiring in 1983 when they moved to the Evart area and started spending their winters in Florida. Mrs. Antrup enjoyed traveling (not by air) and crocheting. Evelyn is survived by three sons, Brad (Mary) Antrup, of Evart, Craig (Mari) Antrup, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Doug (Tami) Antrup, of Evart; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Katherine Lauletta, of Florida, Marjorie Pratt, of Grand Rapids, and Velma Wirth, of Hersey; and one brother, Loren (Dorothy) McLachlan, of Swartz Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; one sister, Donna McKinstry; five brothers, Herman, Dale, Gerald, John and Wayne. Funeral services for Evelyn May Antrup are at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart with Pastor Melodye Surgeon-Rider officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, at the funeral home. Mrs. Antrup will be interred next to her husband in Forest Hill Cemetery in Evart.\u00a0Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer\u2019s Association.
