SEARS - Earl E. Campbell, 88, of Sears passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at his home in Sylvan Township. He was born Aug. 10, 1923 in Elmhall to Leonard and Helen (Andrus) Campbell. On June 7, 1950 near Riverdale, he was married to Zetta E. Charter who survives. He moved to the Evart area from the Ithaca area in 1964 where he was a lifelong dairy farmer and active member of the Ogilvie Weslyan Church. He enjoyed carpenter work and help add an addition unto the church parsonage. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, was an avid reader and loved to quilt. He leaves behind his wife, Zetta E. Campbell of Sears; five sons, Gary Campbell of Crystal, Steve (Carol) Campbell of Evart, Phillip (Patty) Campbell of Sears, Mark (Kimberly) Campbell of Vermontville, MI and Timothy Campbell of Barryton; one sister, Lois Lavoy of Sumner; one brother, Leon (Loretta) Campbell of Edmore; 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Edith Dahmer and Eunice Miller and one brother, Loren Campbell. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 17 at Corey Funeral Home, Inc., Evart with Pastor Neil Mowat officiating. Place of interment is at Sylvan Township Cemetery.
