REED CITY\u00a0-\u00a0Donnabelle Bluhm, 91, of Reed City, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at her home. She was born on Dec. 16, 1922, in Hersey, to Adolph and Ellen (Morlock) Nix, and attended Hersey School, graduating from Hersey High School. Donnabelle married John Bluhm on Nov. 3, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2006. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at Wolverine and on the family farm. She was a member of the former E.U.B. Church and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. Donnabelle is survived by two sons, Thomas (Karen) Bluhm, and James Bluhm, both of Reed City; three daughters, Sally (Jo) Kiser, of Ashburn, Va., Debra (Richard) Garvon, of Hersey, and Karen (James) Green, of Chase; five grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Greg, Miranda and Nate; and six great-grandchildren, William, Paige, Layla, Chloe, Aiden and Cole; and also one brother, Glenn "Pete" Nix; and one sister, Mildred Williams. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Cy Nix; and granddaughter, Terri. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Crapo Cemetery, with the Rev. Dawn Pooley officiating. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan or the Osceola County Commission on Aging.\u00a0Arrangements were entrusted to the McDowell Funeral Home.
