The folks at Protect My Paws didn't\u00a0pass\u00a0on\u00a0dropping\u00a0the information they gathered. Social media was the source of data gathering as researchers looked to Twitter to analyze various tweets about dog poop left behind without being picked up. The\u00a0manure researchers looked, they found both the poopiest and least poopiest cities and states across the land. The Steel City, Pittsburgh, came out as the poopiest city with 74.2 yearly tweets per 100,000 population. Rounding out the Top 10 poopiest cities are Seattle; Atlanta; San Francisco; Buffalo, New York; Norfolk, Virginia; Austin, Texas; New Orleans; Washington, D.C. and Minneapolis. Information from the results points out that just a small amount of dog poop can contain up to a million Toxocara eggs. A Toxocariasis infection can cause pain, dizziness, nausea, asthma, epilepsy and eventually blindness. Children between the ages of 18 months and five are the most common humans to get it. As far as the states go, Colorado is the poopiest with 15.4 yearly tweets per 100,000 population. The least poopiest state was Delaware with 1.5. Illinois came out to 7.4 yearly tweets per 100,000 population, while Michigan and Missouri both topped out at 5.7. Texas was very poopy with 8.1 yearly tweets per 100,000 population.
