EVART - Darwin E. Decker, 71, of Evart, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at his home in Osceola Township. Darwin was born on April 21, 1942, in Reed City to Edward and Leatha (Pratt) Decker. He was a 1960 graduate of Reed City High School. Darwin married Delores Becker on Feb. 8, 1964, in Osceola Township. He retired from Dean Foods in 2004. He was a lifelong sportsman who had got a buck every year since he started hunting and got bucks in both seasons this year. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his cattle and building things, but mostly his family. Darwin is survived by his wife, Delores Decker, of Evart; his daughter, Londa Decker, of Evart; his two sons, Troy (Amy) Decker, of Evart, and Kris (Jenni) Decker, of Evart; his two granddaughters, Brooklyn and Maci Decker; and his brother, Darrel (Joan) Decker, of Reed City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Leatha Decker; and his in-laws, Harold and Winifred Becker. Funeral services for Darwin E. Decker will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart with Pastor Dick Latham officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014, at the funeral home. Internment will be in Osceola Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Osceola County Foundation 4-H Fund.
