BALDWIN \u2014 Students at Baldwin Community Schools were evacuated Thursday afternoon due to an unspecified bomb threat made earlier in the day. According to Lake County Sheriff Rich Martin, a note was given to a teller at the Lake-Osceola State Bank in Luther during a robbery shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22. The note said there was a bomb at a school, however it did not specify which school.\u00a0 Security and lockdown protocols were activated at area schools and banks, which is a common practice, according to Martin. "This is only precautionary," he said in a news release, "and we believe there is no threat to the general public at this time." Students at Baldwin Community Schools were bused to the Yates Township Hall on Nelson Road in Idlewild, where parents were directed to pick them up.
