CHASE \u2014 Andrea Gay Shephard, 53, of Chase, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, at her residence. She was born Oct. 20, 1959, in Baldwin to Carl Raymond Avery and Elsie Marion Woods and was a 1978 graduate of Baldwin High School. On Dec. 28, 1984, she was married in Nirvana to Roger Shepherd, who survives. She was employed as a wrangler at Sanborn Western Camps in Colorado; as a veterinarian technician in Colorado; with Cherry Valley Twp. of Lake County in multiple roles including clerk, sexton and groundskeeper; and always helped around the family farm. She loved spending time outdoors, having adventures and caring for her animals. She is survived by her husband, Roger Shepherd, of Chase; brothers Carlyle (Sharon) Avery and Arvid (Nilda) Avery, both of Chase; sisters Carla (Timothy) DuBreuil, of Reed City, Carleen (Pat) DuBreuil, of Reed City, Carlotta Avery, of Colorado, and Angela (Dan) DuBreuil, of Chase, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life ceremony at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013, at the Avery family farm in Chase.
