"Prepare to tie down outdoor Holiday decorations," the NWS stated in a Facebook post. "Winds will begin to increase Wednesday night into Thursday with sustained winds to 20-30 mph expected, gusting up to 40-50 mph. A wind advisory is in effect for all of southeast Michigan, including the Upper Thumb, from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 4 p.m. Thursday. Isolated south wind gusts around 45 mph are expected to lift temperatures into the 50s Wednesday and above 20 degrees normal Thursday morning before a cold front moves through, the NWS forecasts.
