EVART — Wallace Bernard (Bud) Theunick passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at home.

Bud was born in Pontiac to Louis and Fabiola (Fitzgerald) Theunick. He attended St. Michael's Catholic School where he also enjoyed playing baseball and hockey. He married Virginia Weikert in Maryland in 1945 when they were both in the U.S. Navy.

Bud was a machinist during the war and later after coming home became a tool and die machinist in Detroit. Bud had grown up on a farm and always wanted to have a farm of his own. Bud lived many happy years with the love of his life, Virginia/Lucky, and his family of seven children. Bud loved to go to the Dulcimer event, the 4-H Fair/horse pulls, the Evart Car Show and anything that brought the whole family together. He greatly enjoyed hunting of all kinds and in the last years of his life bagged a trophy buck on the farm.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gerald.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years; sister, Shirley (Jack) Walters; brother, James (Mary) Theunick; children, Mike (Vi) Theunick, Connie (Glenn) Perley, Craig Theunick, Tim (Sandy) Theunick, Melora Theunick, Melody (Bud) Coty and Melinda (David Steene) Hugmeyer; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
