Viola Mae Yeager

EVART — Viola Mae Yeager, 85, of Evart, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at her home in Osceola Township.

Viola was born on Dec. 1, 1928, in Midland, to Charence Burton and Mary Amelia (Dyer) Chamberlain. She attended school in Hersey and married John Yeager in Evart on April 6, 1961. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2012.

Viola was a homemaker who loved to fish and garden. She was a member of the Evart Free Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Doris (William) Lewis, of Evart, Stephen Dice, of Evart, Faith (Leroy) Woodbury, of Remus, Eloise Londo, of Reed City, Melody Yeager, of Harrison, Tina Gilby, of Georgia, and Mark Yeager, of Lake; and a sister, Mary Rehkoph, of Hersey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Yeager; a daughter, Lucille Yeager; a son, David Dice; an infant; an infant great-granddaughter; a son-in-law; four sisters; and eight brothers.

Memorial services for Viola are at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the Evart Free Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Bullock officiating. Internment will be in Osceola Township Cemetery.
