EVART - On Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, Thelma M. (Church) Lynch walked into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thelma was born on Nov. 4, 1937, in Evart, and moved to Lansing as a teenager where she met her husband of 56+ years, Richard D. Lynch. Thelma was a dedicated stay-at-home wife and mother. She loved to babysit, crochet and paint. She never met a stranger – only another friend.
Thelma is survived by her husband; five children, John (Ann) Lynch, of DeWitt, Richard L. (Joan) Lynch, of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Doug (Tammy) Lynch, of LeRoy, Janet Langell, of Evart, and Lynette Lynch (Mike Lambrix), of Morley; her grandchildren, Damion (Kristen) Lynch, Heather (Paul) Thomson, Georgia (Matt) Schmitz, Casey (Randal) Clement, Kim (Adam) McQueen, Nathan Lynch, Dustin Lynch, Ernie Lynch, Elizabeth Lynch, Bryce Langell, Amanda Langell and Charles Lynch; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clayton (Shirely) Church, of Lansing; and one sister, Carolyn (Wayne) Wilson, of Spencerport, N.Y.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Claude R. Church and Marie E. (Baird) Church; and grandson, Paul Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at the South Evart Community FM Church.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart and from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at the church.
Pallbearers are Damion Lynch, Bryce Langell, Jacob Johnson, Oliver Johnson, Dustin Lynch and Ernie Jehnsen-Lynch.
