BIG RAPIDS — Roberta Ida Todd, 76, of Hawkins, went to be with her Lord on Sunday Jan. 27, 2013.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1936, in Lake County, the daughter of Donald E. and Loretta L. (Madison) Youngs.

Roberta retired from the Mecosta County Clerk’s office. Prior to that, she worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Co., then Ferris State University. She was a member of the Barton Township Zoning Board, was active with fundraising for the American Cancer Society, and was a longtime member of Charity Baptist Church.

She is survived by Gerald, her husband of 57 years; two sons, Kevin (Barbara) Todd, of Hawkins, and Rendel (Tracy) Todd, of Rockford; three grandchildren, Julianna, Troy and Rendel Alan Jr.; two brothers, Edd (Nelda) Youngs and Carl (Debbie) Youngs; three sisters, Inga Akey, Karoline (Michael) Allen, and Kathryn (Ronald) Todd; sister-in-law, Joanne Youngs; plus several nieces and nephews

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Arthur and Leo Youngs; her mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Lillian Todd; plus several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Charity Baptist Church, located at 20980 20 Mile Rd in Paris, with Pastor Robert King officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Davenport Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sloan Kettering Cancer Research, St. Judes Research Hospital, Charity Baptist Church or the American Lung Research for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
