Reed City's Spring Fling Craft Show highlights local talent

REED CITY — Those looking for something special for Mother's Day, gifts for upcoming occasions, or perhaps just to spoil themselves, came to the right place during the Spring Fling Craft Show on Saturday in Reed City.

Throughout the day, folks browsed through the Scout building at the spring craft show, presented by Granny's Craft Show, a venue for local artists and crafters to showcase their work and make extra money, and an opportunity for the public to find unique hand-made items.

Items from hand-painted coffee mugs and tumblers to knitted items, artwork, painted wooden signs, hand-crafted jewelry as well as bath and lotion items, essential oils, baby items and so much more, offered a variety for all ages.

Among items Amanda Case displayed for sale were handcrafted earrings, with designs such as beautiful turquoise-colored hummingbirds and more.

"The hand-painted earrings take a little longer, because I paint them by hand, and then make sure they are coated with a finishing. I've been selling these at craft shows for about a year-and-a-half, but I have been making these as a hobby on the side a lot longer."
