Reed City city council to discuss bids, ordinances at July 18 meeting

The City Council of Reed City decided on several items during their regular Monday meeting, including a public hearing on proposed water system improvements.

REED CITY — The Reed City city council has several items on the agenda for the regular Monday evening meeting. 

Firstly, the council will discuss and take action on an ordinance that pertains to peddlers and solicitors.

Other items include action on the renewal of Par Plan insurance coverage, Mill and Paving bids, and a budget amendment.

Additionally, the city attorney will review a marijuana ordinance. 

The council will discuss and take action on requests from two locals, a request for permit and variance to an ordinance from Antonio Aguilar, and an SSD license for Northend Meat & Produce.

The city manager will give his report, and there will also be correspondence from the Michigan Department of Treasury.
