EVART — Raymond F. “Bo” Strange, 74, of Evart passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at his home in Evart Township.

He was born Dec. 26, 1936, in Chippewa Township, Mecosta County to Ray D. and Genevieve (Crusen) Strange. He attended school in Hersey and Evart graduating from Evart High School in 1955. On July 7, 1979, in Farwell he was married to his wife Joyce, who preceded him in death on April 3, 2007.

He resided in the Hersey and Evart areas, where he had employment as Pinsetter for Les Ramey, Truck Driver, Bar Tender, and Lab Technician at Liberty Dairy. He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He attended Brooks Corners United Methodist Church and was a member of VFW Post 7979, Evart. He enjoyed hunting, watching football (an avid Packers fan) and old westerns.

He leaves behind his daughter, Linda Marie Richter, of Sears; his son, Charles C. (Ronda) Strange, of Evart; his brother, Alfred (Janet) Strange, of Evart; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce; and a sister, Faye Myers.
