Paul E. Doane

EVART — Paul E. Doane, 85, of Evart, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 6, 2015, at his home in Osceola Township.

Paul was born on Feb. 28, 1930, in Sylvan Township, to Earl E. and Ella A. (Bartholomew) Doane. He was a lifelong Evart area resident and graduated from Evart High School in 1948. Paul worked for Buick in Flint for more than 30 years and retired in 1978. He married Patsy Wineman on Feb. 14, 1992, in Reed City. Paul was a published author, an avid motorcyclist, photographer and bowler.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patsy Doane, of Evart; daughter, Candy (Mark) Moore, of Evart; three sons, Cliff (Amanda) Wineman, of Flushing, Robert (Stephanie) Wineman, of New Orleans, and Thomas Doane, of Big Rapids; five grandchildren; two brothers, Dick (Darlene) Doane, of Flint, and Bob Doane, of Lansing; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Thompson, of Evart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Florence and Ruth.

Memorial services for Paul Edward Doane are at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart.
