Patricia Ann Petersen, age 73 of Paris, passed away Wednesday March 20, 2013 in Big Rapids. She was born December 4, 1939 in Reed City to Arthur Cornelius and Viola Ripley, was raised in Ashton, and was a 1958 graduate of LeRoy Agricultural High School. From 1959-61 she served her country honorably in the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. On June 16, 1967 she was married in Reed City to James Leonard Petersen who passed away in 2007. She worked for many years as a bartender at the Paris Bar and was employed for over 30 years with Kraftube Co. of Reed City until her retirement in 2005. Patricia enjoyed crocheting, knitting, yard sales, reading books, and enjoying time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Jerry (Mary Thorpe) Petersen of Stanwood, daughters Dawn Petersen of Newaygo, Waneta (Steve) Decator of Paris, Pamela (Terry) Allers of White Cloud, Becky (Jim) Provenzano of White Cloud, Lena Lei Schoenborn of Red Lake, MN, Lori (Sam Smith) Petersen of Big Rapids, and Kimberly (Timothy) Locker of Reed City, sister Barbara Blackwell of Highland, 26 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 8 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James Petersen, parents Arthur and Viola Cornelius, sister Nancy Dyer, and her companion Muffin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday March 25, 2013 at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City with Rev. Cathy Cadarette officiating. Burial will be at Crapo Cemetery in Green Township. A memorial contribution may be made in her name to the Disabled Veterans of America during visitation from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday March 24, 2013 at the funeral home.
