The Reed City Area Ministerial Association Coat Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., every Wednesday through the winter season at Reed City United Methodist Church, 503. S. Chestnut Ave., Reed City. Coats, hats, and other outerwear is available. For more information call 231-250-2790.

The Reed City Chamber of Commerce will host a “Halloween Spooktacular” from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Oct. 29 in downtown Reed City. The event will include kid’s crafts, pumpkin painting, an off-road bike race, trick-or-treating on the trail, ponies, a petting zoo, a scavenger hunt, food, music and other events.

Kiddies Klubhouse in Reed City will host “Halloween in the Park” from 2:30 to 4 p.m., Oct. 29, at Westerburg Park on S. Roth Street in Reed City. The event will include trick-or-treating, feed the ponies, popcorn, hot cocoa and music.

The Reed City Chamber of Commerce will host a “Halloween Block Party” from 5 to 8 p.m., Oct. 29, on Upton Street in downtown Reed City. The event will include vendors, games, crafts, cornhole and food.

Camp Albright & Event Center will host a “Community Fall Festival” and scarecrow contest on Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 4 to 9 p.m., the weekend of Oct. 28 & 29. The event will include hayrides, a haunted bunkhouse, food trucks, campfire w/smores and a scarecrow walk. For more information call 231-250-7118.

Big Rapids Re/Max Together and the Big Rapids DDA will host a “Fall Festival” from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 29, in downtown Big Rapids. The event will include inflatables, food trucks, a Ferris Wheel, rock wall, pumpkin roll and trunk or treat.

Crossroads Recreation Connection of Reed City and Folkal Point Trails will host a “Youth Offroad Bike Race” starting at 10 a.m., Oct. 29, at the CRC Bike Park at Westerburg Park in Reed City. Bikes will be given away as prizes. Helmets are required to participate. For more information call 207-520-0492.

The Lake County Knights of Columbus will host a “Halloween Trunk-or-Treat” from 2 to 5 p.m., Oct. 30 at St. Ann Catholic Church parking lot, 1001 Michigan Ave., Baldwin. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available, and plenty of treats for kids. For more information call 231-745-7997.

The city of Evart will host a “Haunted Park” at Riverside East Park in Evart from 5 to 7 p.m., Oct. 29 and “Main Street Monster Mash” in downtown Evart from 5 to 7 p.m., Oct. 31.

The Salvation Army of Big Rapids has opened a Fresh Start Baby Pantry open to families with children under age 5 in Mecosta, Osceola, Lake and Newaygo counties. Crossroads Community Church, 110 S. Main St., Evart is hosting Celebrate Recovery meetings at 6:30 p.m., every Monday. Find answers with others that are on the same journey. For more information visit cccevart.org. or call 231-734-1100.

The Reed City Heritage Museum is open from 1-4 p.m. Friday through Tuesday at 138 W. Slosson Ave., Reed City. Admission is free. Groups are welcome.

The Crossroads Quilt Guild meets at 6:30 p.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 5300 220th Ave., Reed City, on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Those interested are welcome to attend without being a member. Any level of quilter is encouraged to attend.

The Reed City Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 831 S. Chestnut St., Reed City. Clients may come once each month for 12 months.

The Reed City Senior Center at 219 E. Todd Ave., hosts the following events weekly: Wednesdays at noon - Fun Bingo; Thursdays at noon- Euchre; Friday – doors open at 10:30 a.m., Early Bird at 11:30 a.m. and Regular Bingo at noon.
