•    The Reed City Area District Library is hosting Story Hour at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, which will include stories and activities. For more information visit reedcitylibrary.org. or call 231-832-2131.

•    On Saturday, May 14, the letter carriers for Evart and Sears will be collecting non-perishable items for the Sears Food Pantry. Donations can be placed in a bag by your mailbox and will be picked up and delivered to the food bank.

•    Lincoln Township will host a litter cleanup, starting at 8:30 a.m., May 14. Volunteers will meet at the Lincoln Township Hall, 20920 9 Mile Rd., Reed City to receive instructions, bags, vests and assignments. For more information call 231-388-4974.

•    The Evart city council will meet at 8 p.m., May 16 at the Depot, 200 S. Main St., Evart. A pre-council work session will take place prior to the meeting at 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. For more information visit evart.org or call 231- 734-2181.

•    The Reed City Methodist Church is hosting a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, May 19 and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, May 20 at 503 Chestnut St., Reed City. For more information call 231-832-9441.

•    RESLife Church in Big Rapids will host a MOM2MOM Sale event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 21. For more information visit rlcbr,org or call 231-796-4080.

•    An indoor rummage sale will be held at the Osceola County Fairgrounds, 101 Recreation Ave., Evart, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 27 and 28. Vendor space is still available. Food will be available for purchase. For more information call 231-357-2701 or 231-408-8950.

•    The Blessing of the ORVs will take place May 29 at Skinner Park in Irons. Gates open at 10 a.m., blessing at noon, corn hole tournament at 3 p.m. and live music at 6 p.m. Details can be found at facebook.com/groups/MFORV.

•    The Reed City Heritage Museum is hosting a golf scramble fundraiser starting at 9 a.m., June 3, at Spring Valley Golf Course. Cost is $240 per team. The event will include flags, prizes, raffles and dinner. For more information or to sign up, call 231-388-2454.

•    Art in the Park will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, starting Saturday June 4 at Rambadt Park in Reed City. It is open to all ages. All materials will be provided. For updates follow the City of Reed City Facebook page.

•    Spiritual revival and morning worship events will take place during the Barryton Lilac Festival June 3-5: Chippewa Lake Community Church with Chippewa Lake Music Team, 6 p.m., June 3: Barryton Church of God with guest speaker Pastor Mark Robb and musical guest Alanna Story, at 6 p.m., June 4; Pastors Jerry and Veronica Roesly with the Church of God Choir, 10:30 a.m., June 5.

•    The Reed City Chamber of Commerce 15th annual golf scramble will take place starting at 9 a.m., June 17 at Spring Valley Golf Course. Cost is $70 per player or $280 per team and will include 18 holes, cart, lunch at the turn and dinner, plus chances to win great prizes. •    The Reed City Robotics Team will host a golf scramble fundraiser starting at 9 a.m., June 18 at Intimidator Golf Course. Registration is $200 per team. Pre-register with Brad Smith at bsmith@reedcityschools.org or Josh Johnston at jjohnston@reedcityschools.org. All proceeds go to support the Reed City Robotics Team.

•    Crossroads Community Church, 110 S. Main St., Evart is hosting Celebrate Recovery meetings at 6:30 p.m., every Monday. Find answers with others that are on the same journey. For more information visit cccevart.org. or call 231-734-1100.

•    Evart bagged leaf pick up will be each Monday until next fall. Leaves must be in biodegradable bags. Brush pick-up will be conducted the last Monday of each month throughout the season. Leaf and brush pick-up must be ready by 7 a.m.

•    The Evart Garden Club is looking for volunteers to help with planting and maintaining the bump out gardens in downtown. Workdays are Wednesday from 8 to 10 a.m. Email evartgardens@gmail.com for more information.

•    The Reed City Youth Sports cheer registration for grades 3rd through 8th is open now until June 19. For more information email reedcityyouthsports@gmail.com or message the Facebook page.

•    The Reed City Heritage Museum is open from 1-4 p.m. Friday through Tuesday at 138 W. Slosson Ave., Reed City. Admission is free. Groups are welcome.

•    The Crossroads Quilt Guild meets at 6:30 p.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 5300 220th Ave., Reed City, on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Those interested are welcome to attend without being a member. Any level of quilter is encouraged to attend.

•    The Reed City Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 831 S. Chestnut St., Reed City. Clients may come once each month for 12 months.

•    The Reed City Senior Center at 219 E. Todd Ave., hosts the following events weekly: Wednesdays at noon - Fun Bingo; Thursdays at noon- Euchre; Friday – doors open at 10:30 a.m., Early Bird at 11:30 a.m. and Regular Bingo at noon.
