• The Reed City Area District Library is hosting Story Hour at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, which will include stories and activities. For more information visit reedcitylibrary.org. or call 231-832-2131.
• The Great American Crossroads Celebration committee will meet for a planning session at 5:30 p.m., April 14 at Sunny’s Sports Bar and Grill in Reed City. Anyone interested in being part of the celebration is welcome to attend. Volunteers are needed.
• The Evart DDA will host a meeting of the Sustainable Built Environment Initiative at 6 p.m., April 14, at the Depot, 200 S. Main St., Evart. For more information contact the DDA at 231-734-0185.
• The Evart UAW Local 2270 will host the annual Easter Egg Drop at 1 p.m., April 16, at the Evart High School, 6221 95th Ave., Evart, for ages 12 and under.
• The annual Ike Reed Easter Egg hunt will be at 1 p.m., April 16, at the Osceola County Sheriff’s Posse grounds, 21940 6 Mile Rd., Reed City.
• The Purple Pepper, 18700 20th Ave., Barryton will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m., April 16 for ages 10 and under. Bring your own container.
• There will be a free soccer clinic for 3rd through 8th grade students from 10 a.m. to noon, April 16, at 4151 wild Turkey Trail, Reed City. Coach Jeff Pill and several Maranatha Baptist University men’s soccer team will run the clinic. To register for the clinic, go to fbcreedcity.com/youth-sports.

• The Reed City city council will host a public discussion regarding “opting in” to marijuana sales at 6 p.m., April 19, at city hall, 227 E. Lincoln Ave., Reed City. For more information visit reedcity.org or call 231-832-2245.
• Travelers bar in Leroy will host a paint party from 4 to 7 p.m., April 23. The cost is $30 in advance paid to Shirley Grahek via Venmo. Call 231-768-4471 to reserve a seat.
• The Evart Public Library will host a fundraiser dinner party from 5 to 7 p.m., April 23, at the Evart Moose Lodge, 8400 U.S.-10, Evart. A chicken and meatball dinner with all the trimmings is $9 in advance and $10 at the door for adults ages 12 and up, $4 for ages 5-11 and free for children under 4. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the library.
• Evart bagged leaf pick up will begin on April 25 and will be each Monday until next fall. Leaves must be in biodegradable bags. Brush pick-up will also begin on April 25 and will be conducted the last Monday of each month throughout the season. Leaf and brush pick-up must be ready by 7 a.m.
• The Remus Area Historical Society will host a community forum from 5:30 to 7 p.m., April 27 at the Wheatland Township Hall, 201 S. Sheridan Ave., Remus. The topic of the forum is Honoring Our Community. Portions of the Remus Elder Oral History film will be shown, and special guest speakers will lead discussions on various topics. • The Evart Garden Club is looking for volunteers to help with planting and maintaining the bump out gardens in downtown. Workdays are Wednesday from 8 to 10 a.m. Email evartgardens@gmail.com for more information.
• The Reed City Heritage Museum is open from 1-4 p.m. Friday through Tuesday at 138 W. Slosson Ave., Reed City. Admission is free. Groups are welcome.
• The Crossroads Quilt Guild meets at 6:30 p.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 5300 220th Ave., Reed City, on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Those interested are welcome to attend without being a member. Any level of quilter is encouraged to attend.
• The Reed City Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 831 S. Chestnut St., Reed City. Clients may come once each month for 12 months.
• The Reed City Senior Center at 219 E. Todd Ave., hosts the following events weekly: Wednesdays at noon - Fun Bingo; Thursdays at noon- Euchre; Friday – doors open at 10:30 a.m., Early Bird at 11:30 a.m. and Regular Bingo at noon.
