MUSKEGON — Mr. Orlo W. Zeitz, 93, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, in Muskegon.

He was born in Cadillac on July 23, 1921, to Robert and Edna (Ward) Zeitz. Orlo was a veteran of the U.S Army and served in World War II. He worked for Buehrle Engineering as a tool and die maker for more than 40 years before his retirement. Orlo enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a CB and shortwave radio enthusiast.

Survivors include his two children, Susan (Mike Smith) Zeitz, of White Cloud, and Wayne O. (Julie Zerlaut) Zeitz, of Holton; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Burson; and his former wife of 52 years, Sarah Zeitz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; one brother; and three sisters.

Services were held on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at the Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., in Norton Shores. Burial was in Chase Township Cemetery.
