ORLON H. BALDWIN
EVART - Orlon H. Baldwin, 91, of Evart, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 at his home in Osceola Township, Osceola County.
He was born April 24, 1920, to Harley Howard and Effee Olive (Smith) Baldwin in Hartwick Township, Osceola County. He was married March 23, 1938, in Evart to Edna Listerman who passed way in 2005. He was a lifelong Evart area resident where he dairy farmed most of his life, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Sears Church of God. He enjoyed camping and fishing.
He leaves behind three daughters, Arlene Henry of Evart, Kay (Larry) Reed of Evart and Shirley (Carl) Henry of Evart; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Edna in 2005; two sisters, Lucy Leyder and Thelma Paine; two brothers, Elmer and an infant brother Clifford; grandson Barrie Henry; and great grandson Douglas James Taylor Jr.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 13 at Corey Funeral Home, Evart with Pastor Dick Latham officiating. Place of interment is at Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart.
GLEN V. REICHOW
HERSEY — Glen V. Reichow, 89, of Hersey passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 at his home in Grant Township, Mecosta County.
He was born Nov. 14, 1921 to Ralph Glen and Marie (Phillips) Reichow in Hersey. He was married on May 22, 1946 in Grand Rapids to Doris Mae Carr who passed away in 2002. He worked for 35 years at Oliver Machinery in Grand Rapids, retiring back to the Hersey area from Grand Rapids. He was a member of VFW Post 7979, Evart where he was past Post Quartermaster and an active member of the post Honor Guard.
He leaves behind one daughter, Susan (John) Edwards of Evart; two grandsons, Christopher (Michelle) Edwards of Rockford and Andrew (Denise) Edwards of North Branch; three great grandchildren, Josh, Brendon and Emily; one great-great grandson, Josh Jr.; two sisters, Donna McMillin of Big Rapids and Daisy Gray of Reed City and a brother, Guy (Leona) Reichow of Hersey. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Doris in 2002; sister Eunita Park; and two brothers Deanand Dale.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 14, at Corey Funeral Home, Evart with niece, Sandy Keller officiating. Place of interment is at Chippewa Lake Cemetery.
