MARGARET ANN FREDELL

REED CITY — Margaret Ann Fredell, 84, a lifelong resident of Reed City, died peacefully Friday, April 29, 2011, at her son’s home after enduring her last months with cancer.

She was born Aug. 15, 1926 in Reed City, the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Ringler) Sadler, and attended Reed City schools, graduating from Reed City High School in 1944.

She married the love of her life, James Howard Fredell in July 1947. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2008, and he called her to join him in heaven.

Margaret is survived by her son Thomas (Mary) Fredell; daughter Marie Estes; grandsons Jeromy (Christine) Estes and Adam (Alyssa) Fredell, all of Midland; and granddaughter Lindsay (Geoffrey) Ohs of Grand Rapids.

Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Logan Fredell of Iowa, Lauren and Madeline Estes of Midland, and niece Connie (Robert) Kozal of Reed City, and their daughters.

In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her son-in-law Laurence Estes, and her brother and sister-in-law, Luin and Mary Sadler.

Margaret was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In their last years together, she and Jim enjoyed their outings to “the V” to share stories with their friends there.

A graveside service was held Monday, May 2 at Woodland Cemetery in Reed City with Rev. Dawn Pooley officiating.
