JACQUELINE J. GERRED
EVART - Jacqueline J. Gerred, 85, of Evart, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Pleasant Ridge AFC Home near Marion.
She was born July 12, 1925, in Sylvan Township, Osceola County to Herman J. and Ruby E. (Herman) Comer and was a 1943 graduate of Evart High School. On Dec. 12, 1942 she was married in Evart to Woody Gerred, who passed away in 1985. She was a lifelong Evart area resident where she worked at Evart Products for 26 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the VFW Womens Auxillary and volunteer fro the Red Cross, working at the local blood bank. She also worked as a volunteer for local elections. She enjoyed painting and traveling.
She leaves behind two daughters, Penny (Duane) Ward of Barryton and Christie (Jerry) Wilson of Reed City; sister, Loretta Tiedt of Evart; sister-in-laws, Wilma Gerred-Sinks of Lowell, Pearl Cross of Mount Pleasant; Gene Dulle of Missouri and Peg English of West Branch; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, June 10, at Corey Funeral Home, Evart with Pastor Dawn Pooley officiating. Place of interment is at Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart.
