EVART - Dorothy Ellen Curnett, 73, of Evart passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Sylvan Township.

She was born April 11, 1938 in Detroit to Nels and Ruth (Rynberg) Justice. She attended Redford High School. She was married on July 10, 1965, in Detroit, to Larry Vernon Curnett who survives. They moved from Detroit to Marion in 1969 and from Marion to Evart in 1970 where she worked at Evart Products, retiring in 2000. She lived for her children and grandchildren, enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard and yard sailing.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Vernon Curnett of Evart; four daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Ricker of Grand Rapids; Barbara (Gary) Thompson of Marion, Deanna Miscikoski of Evart and Donna (Tom) Fish of Evart; two sons, Michael (Wanda) Barlow of Indiana and Steve (Kathy) Barlow of Brighton; three sisters, Joyce Hayward, Patti Curnett both of Detroit and Peggy Curnett of Arizona; one brother, Richard Justice of Detroit; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at Evangel Assembly of God, Evart with Cousin, Richard Curnett officiating. Burial will be at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart. Visitations will be on Wednesday, June 29 at 11 a.m. until time of services at the church.
