ALVIN J. NOBLE
MOUNT PLEASANT — Alvin J. Noble, 84, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at his home.
Al Noble was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Grand Rapids to Kenneth and Ruby Noble. Alvin graduated Evart High School in 1945 and then entered the U.S. Army, serving in the 1262nd Army Service Unit during World War II. He returned home and attended Central Michigan University, majoring in business. Al became the business manager of The Davis Clinic in Mount Pleasant, where he worked for over 25 years. He loved antiquing and was a long time vintage lighter collector, as well as an avid hunter.
On Sept. 27, 1947, he Married Ruth Lorinne Wirth. He loved his family and will be sadly missed by them. Al is survived by two daughters, Corinne Williamson and Carla Russell of Mount Pleasant; two grandsons, Brent Russell and Gavin Ketchum of Mount Pleasant; and one sister, Donna Walker of Dewitt. Al was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L. Noble.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Osceola Township Cemetery in Evart. Arrangements are being handled by the Corey Funeral Home 415 N. Main Street Evart, Michigan 49631, where memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice or Forgotten Eagles of Michigan Chapter 3, to assist local veterans.
