Rory Teasley was found dead at 28 after his boyfriend, DocQuen Jovo Watkins, called deputies to his apartment in Pontiac just before midnight on Thursday, Jan. 6, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

But, when deputies arrived they found Teasley unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, according to reporting by NBC News.
Watkins and Teasley had been playing a video game called Overwatch when the fight started. While arguing, Watkins choked Teasley to death, authorities said, according to reporting by clickondetroit.com.

"There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those who do so will be held accountable."
Watkins, 31, was booked on Friday, Jan. 7, at 3:36 a.m. and is being held without bond in the Oakland County Jail on a second-degree murder charge.
Teasley, having amassed a following of 230,000 TikTok followers, 65,000 Instagram followers and millions of views on his comedy and dance videos, leaves behind a large social media presence.
His social media accounts describe him as "Everybody Gay Bestfriend," "International Twerk Instructor" and a comedian.
The last video posted to his TikTok account, @too2pump4tv, was shared the day that he was allegedly killed.

Watkins is due in the 50th District Court at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 18 for his probable cause hearing. An attorney is not listed for Watkins on the court's website.
