Mary Patricia (Pat) Johnson

NASHVILLE — Patricia (Pat) Johnson passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn.

She was born on May 3, 1924, in Lansing, to Melvin and Ida Simonton. She graduated from Flint Central High School and from the Sparrow Hospital Nursing Program as an R.N. in 1945. She married Douglas Allmand in December of 1946, and they divorced after 25 years of marriage. She married Reuben Johnson in July of 1974 and he preceded her in death in March of 2003.

She spent her early years in the LeRoy area and later lived in Hartland for more than 30 years before moving back to LeRoy. She spent her entire life working in the nursing profession. She was a member of the Hartland United Methodist Church and later belonged to The Covenant Church in LeRoy.

She is survived by her four children, Christopher Allmand (wife Patty), of White Pigeon, Cynthia Baran (husband Alan), of Nashville Tenn., Claudia Allmand, of New York City, and Candace Allmand, of Winter Haven, Fla.  She also is survived by seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marcia; and by her grandchild, Nathan Allmand.

Services will be private with a memorial service to be held in LeRoy at a later date.
