MSU Extension offers online food safety class
Michigan State University Extension announces dates for Cooking for Crowds, an online food safety class designed for nonprofit groups that provide food fundraisers and events such as meals, bake sales and dinners.
Learn how to prevent the conditions during planning, purchasing, storage, preparation and service that could lead to a foodborne illness outbreak at your next food event or fundraiser. This food safety education program is based on the Michigan Food Code.
Online classes will be offered:
• 5-8 p.m. Nov. 9;
• 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 2; and
• 1-4 p.m. Jan. 19.
To register, visit events.anr.msu.edu/C4C2020. The cost for the class is $15 per person and includes a food safety manual which will be mailed to you before class. Pre-registration is required.
