ROSE CITY — Lula M. Eschenweck-Madsen, 79, of Rose City, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, at West Branch Regional Medical Center.
Lula was born on June 17, 1935, to Floyd and Pearl (Shaw) Barnes. She was a graduate of Evart High School. She married Lawrence Eschenweck in Evart and he preceded her in death in 1984. She then married Royal Madsen in Arizona and he preceded her in death in 2005. Lula was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.
Lula is survived by three sons, Michael (Linda) Eschenweck, of Nebraska, Donald (Sandi) Eschenweck, of Evart, and David (Georgie) Eschenweck, of Arizona; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Barnes, of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lawrence Eschenweck and Royal Madsen; two daughters, Sharon and Cindy; two sons, Marvin and Edward; and two sisters, Leona Rizor and Irma Burhans; and a brother, Chuck Barnes.
Funeral services for Lula Eschenweck-Madsen were at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with Pastor Brian Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Hersey.
