EVART — Lonnie B. Walters, 57, a lifelong resident of Evart, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, May 15, 2015, after a short battle with cancer.

Lonnie was born on Sept. 17, 1957, in Reed City, the son of William B. Walters and Sandra L. (Hodges) Latoski.

Lonnie loved the outdoors. He hunted, fished and planted a garden for his family to share each year. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1977-1980, and was co-owner of Mancino’s in Evart for 10 years.

Walters will be forever missed by his family, including his children, William (Courtney) Walters, Jillian Walters, Jenuine (partner Katie Nostrant, daughter Lauryn), and Zebulun Walters; grandchildren, Joshua, Leigha, Blake and Layla; brothers, Michael (Annette) Walters and Christopher (Vikki) Walters; many nieces and nephews; step-mother, Barbaral Walters, all of Evart; extended family, Jeremy (Becky) Vandenbosch, of Lowell; Nicole (Joshua) Cramer, of Perry, Brent (Rachel) Vandenbosch, of Lowell, and Emily and Hannah Moore, of Evart.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, William B. Walters, and step-father, Jack Latoski.

A celebration of life for Lonnie B. Walters will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 22231 110th Ave., Evart.
